EXISTING PATIENT
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The state of Florida requires you be seen by your physician every 7 months (210 days) to renew your medical marijuana recommendation. We set your 7-month follow-up appointment for you at the time of your last visit, it is scheduled for about 2 weeks before your recommendation ends. We give this 2-week cushion in case there are scheduling or financial reasons that you need to reschedule so that you won’t just be out of your recommendation. We do our best to provide the lowest pricing for a marijuana license in the state.
PATIENT FOLLOW-UP
You will receive a text message the week before and the day before your appointment. You’ll be able to adjust the day and time, if need be, at that time. When you come into your appointment you need to bring your: Driver’s license
When you arrive, you will sign-in at the front desk and receive a clipboard with a short questionnaire to complete. The state requires that we intake this documentation every time. Afterwards, you’ll be checked in by our front desk where they will collect your forms, state-issued ID and $80 payment.
After a short period in our waiting room, we will take your vitals and lead you to a consultation room. You will be evaluated by the doctor, and your new set of recommendations will be inputted into the system.
If your old recommendations are still active, we will schedule your new ones to start the day after the active recommendations end. If you are currently out of recommendations, your new ones will be activated at the time of your appointment.
TRANSFER PATIENT
After you have put in your appointment request online you will get and email or text message confirming their appointment. When you come into your appointment you need to bring your:
- Driver’s License
- Medical Marijuana License (if you have it, this makes it easier to find you in the Medical Marijuana User Registry (MMUR)
- Medical Records, if you have them available
We ask that before your appointment you leave your current physician in the MMUR. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to accomplish this.
