Where is Humulene Found?

The woody and aromatic hoppy smell of craft beer is partially to blame on the terpene Humulene. One of the most commonly found terpenes in cannabis, this terpene is also found in hops, ginger, ginseng, spearmint, and cloves. It has both a strong odor and taste that is easily recognizable in cannabis. Those who like the deep tones of craft beer may find that it is the hops high in the terpene Humulene that is giving off the pleasant taste and smell they enjoy.

Consider Your Personal Needs

Congratulations! You’ve finally gotten your Florida Medical Marijuana License and are ready to go to your first dispensary in Jacksonville. What’s next? If you’ve gone through Affordable Marijuana License, your recommendations will include Inhalation, Topical, Oral, and Sublingual routes as well as 2.5oz of smokable flower. This should give you plenty of buying power as most patients find they never reach their maximum milligrams within their 70-day period. Your recommendations are what give you the ability to purchase cannabis products to a limit and are what you will renew with the doctor every 7 months.

Some Facts About Breast Cancer

Cancer affects approximately 1.9 million individuals in America. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign to bring attention to the 1 in 8 women that will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Cancer begins as a mutation of genes in the cells of the body forming tumors or affecting organs. Usually breast cancer begins in the cells of the milk-producing glands of the breast or the ducts that drain milk to the nipple. Less commonly, breast cancer will begin in the fatty tissues of the breast. Over time cancer cells invade other healthy cells and can spread the cancer to the lymphatic system and beyond.

What is CBD?

Have you thought about starting a CBD regimen but don’t know where or how to start? Let us help you by going over a few basics. CBD has become popular even among those who don’t consume THC or medical marijuana. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-euphoric compound found in cannabis and hemp plants. While cannabis is well known for its psychoactive effects, CBD is known for its calming non-intoxicating properties. Both compounds react to our body’s natural endocannabinoid system. THC stimulates the CB1 receptors, causing the feelings of euphoria. CBD does not stimulate the CB1 receptors and can even reduce the effects of too much THC.

What You Need to Know

You may have noticed an email from the Florida Department of Health regarding a Medical Marijuana Use Registry Update over the weekend. Fear not, we’re here to break it down for you. First, this new regulation has updated the daily allotted dosage amounts for each route. Prior to this regulation physicians could allot up to 400 mg THC per day per route based on their patient’s needs. Now, each route has a different max dosage per day. In addition, the aggregate allotted milligrams cannot exceed 24,500 mg of THC per 70-Day recommendation. Your low-THC cannabis will not be affected by this new rule. Because of this new limit you will not receive the same amount of milligrams per route as you are used to. In fact, each route (aside from Smokable Marijuana) will contain different maximum limits:
