WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
If you have a valid FL drivers license with everything up to date, you will be approved same day. If you have a FL state Id or out of state license it may take the state 5-10 business days to approve you. As soon as you receive the approval email you will be able to go to the local dispensary using your driver’s license until the hard copy is received by mail.
Your license with the sate of FL will be good for 1 year, you will be required to pay the state every year to maintain your license. Your orders/recommendations from the Doctor are good for 7 months. You can view your orders, how much time remains on them, how much you have purchased and from which local dispensary it was dispensed on the Profile section of your registry account mmuregistry.flhealth.gov

Dispensaries will have to register you to their system when you first visit so be prepared to spend a few minutes filling out information. Some just use the information on the registry, but some want information not already available in the system.

Dispensaries are technically cash only businesses, all of them have an ATM machine inside and some offer cashless ATM check out (a way to use your debit/credit card-however charges an ATM fee), and other payment options such as “canpay” and “hypur” (cannabis based apps that allow you to make purchases without cash).
